The British 10K 2017
09 July 2017, 09:00 ( Add to calendar )
2017 will see us celebrating our tenth anniversary and to mark the occasion we’re hoping to enter our BIGGEST EVER TEAM to The British 10K! We’re looking for 100 runners to race through the heart of London dressed as their favourite video games characters (optional, but loads of fun!) and help us to raise vital funds in support of disabled gamers.
By registering via this site, SpecialEffect supporters qualify for a 10% discount on the regular entry fee (£40 instead of the usual £45), plus a FREE T-Shirt or running vest to train in. All our runners are also invited to enjoy a free drink at our post race reception, kindly sponsored by DingIt.tv - so what are you waiting for? Sign-up today and be part of SpecialEffect history!
Unlike some other charities, we don't set a minimum fundraising requirement and are incredibly grateful for ALL donations towards our life-changing work. However, if you do wish to set yourself a target, then £100 from each participant would mean we would raise a whopping £10k from just this one event!
Plans for 2017 are still being finalised, but here's a description of last year's route which gives flavour of what's in store:
The iconic British 10K is the fastest way to tour central London’s
famous landmarks from Piccadilly to Whitehall with a route that races
past Regent Street, Trafalgar Square, the Embankment, Westminster Bridge
and Westminster Abbey.
